Italian

Italian language and culture are taught in a full-immersion, communicative classroom, where students can work toward gaining proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and listening over as much as four semesters of study. In the fourth semester, students will have a focused introduction to Italian poetry, theater, or prose alongside a review of advanced grammar topics. Students may satisfy the college's general education requirement in a second language, or in the Learning Objective tagged as “comprehending cross-culturally,” with Italian 301/ 302/ 303. Students may also pursue an interdisciplinary minor in Italian Studies.

The Italian Table will meet each Wednesday at noon on the balcony of McClurg. Meet with others who share an interest in Italian culture and the Italian language. You don't need to be fluent to attend. Just show up and listen to the music of the beautiful Italian language.
